Work with us
Good workers are harder to find than clients. If you do this work well and you live in Melbourne’s north, we would like to hear from you.
The work
Going into people's homes and out into the community across Melbourne’s northern suburbs. Personal care, help around the house, meals, transport, and company — for people with disability and for older people.
Most shifts are two to four hours. Some people want a couple of shifts a week, some want most of the week. Tell us what suits you.
What we look for
Reliability before experience. Someone who turns up when they said they would, rings if something changes, and treats the person's home as their home. The rest can be taught.
What you need
For disability support work
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module (free, online, about 90 minutes)
- right to work in Australia
- driver licence and a reliable, insured car
- Working with Children Check where the work involves someone under 18
For home care work
- aged care worker screening or a current national police check
- acknowledgement of the Aged Care Code of Conduct
- right to work in Australia
- driver licence and a reliable, insured car
If you are missing one of these, tell us anyway — some of them we can help you sort out.
What we offer
Standard weekday hours, with after-hours and weekend shifts available for people who want them. Pay rate and shift pattern are discussed when we meet, and set out in writing before you start.
Work in the suburbs you already live in, so you are not spending your day in the car. A small team, so you are a person here rather than a roster line. And you will not be sent to a shift with no information about who you are visiting.
Applying
Call 0493 226 273, or send a message through the contact page and say you are asking about work. We will call you back.
